Kim Lynch trained as a painter at the National Gallery of Victoria School of Art, played bass in the Loved Ones and the Red Onion Jazz Band and later took on freelance illustration to support a family and supplement work in the studio. He was drawn in to computer graphics in 1988. His digital artwork is built upon a foundation of traditional training in fine art practice and printmaking.
His work has appeared in books, magazines, newspapers, posters, film, television, multimedia and the net. He still takes the occasional commission.
